Our expertise

UCR was founded in 2001 as a center for collaboration between Uppsala University and Region Uppsala. This has given us access to a large network of academic researchers and experts as well as collaborations with both large and small medical and medtech companies
Our results have been published in several journals, among others the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association and the Lancet.

World leader on R-RCTs. Several UCR led R-RCTs have resulted in immediate and important improvements in international treatment guidelines and the opportunity for significant cost reductions.
During 2013, UCR presented a model for large, prospective randomised studies based on national quality registries (Registry-based Randomised Clinical Trials, R-RCT) that has attracted a lot of national and international attention and demand.
UCR has long experience in and well-integrated strategies for independent adjudication of clinical events in clinical trials. Since 2007, UCR has conducted more than 50.000 adjudications.
