We improve healthcare

Several registry-based randomised clinical trials (R-RCT) set up and managed by UCR were presented and discussed at the European Society of Cardiology meeting in August 2017 (ESC Congress 2017):

Oxygen therapy does not improve survival in patients with heart attack symptoms (DETO2X-AMI)
Latest Bivalirudin, Heparin face-off in MI cements winner in routine practice (VALIDATE- SWEDEHEART)

Another R-RCT managed by UCR was presented in March 2017 at the American College of Cardiology: 66th Annual Scientific Session & Expo (ACC.17):

iFR-guided strategy delivers consistent patient outcomes to an FFR-guided strategy (iFR-SWEDEHEART)

The above studies are published in the New England Journal of Medicine:

  • Oxygen Therapy in Suspected Acute Myocardial Infarction
  • Bivalirudin versus Heparin Monotherapy in Myocardial Infarction
  • Instantaneous Wave-free Ratio versus Fractional Flow Reserve to Guide PCI

UCR is proud to contribute to increased health in Sweden and in the rest of the world.
